Kristin Kay Mayes (born September 6, 1970) is an American lawyer, politician, and journalist who has been the 27th Arizona attorney general since 2023. A member of the Democratic Party, Mayes was elected in 2022, defeating Republican Abraham Hamadeh by a margin of just 280 votes in one of the closest elections in the state's history.
